Very well written article. Thank you, Pam. I teach my sons and students to be respectful and tolerant to all, regardless of their differences in lifestyle or opinion. I also try to model this on a daily basis. Children learn what they observe. Every single person we encounter on our path is fighting their own battle. Kindness and acceptance can make all the difference in the world. Anti-bullying programs in our schools are effective, but having honest and open discussions, really listening to our students, and modeling pro-social behavior make more of an impact, especially to those who are not getting these lessons at home.

Sadly, the problems being observed in our youth today, weather it be (bullying, drugs, alcohol, teen pregnancy, STD’s or a number of other things) is a reflection of our society’s shortcomings. I wonder if I even dare say the will of the people??? Is “mankind” going to fix these and many other woes on their own??? Look around at our nation and the world and see how man is trying to fix things!!!

Surly, it not by bullying???

Now, do you really believe what you are thinking???
