Can someone explain why we take the time and effort to separate everything just for them to come in a garbage truck and just throw it all in together all mixed back up? Don't believe me just watch them when they pick up. I even have pictures! Paper, cardboard, plastic, glass all mixed back up thrown in the back of a garbage truck! Why do we bother?

you don't have to separate it anymore. The only thing they want separated now is the cardboard, newspapers and magazines (which can all go in the same container with a lid). What I don't understand, are the plastic and metal caps/lids also recycleable? I appreciate the recycling program and didn't mind rinsing and separating it before. I'm glad they changed the rules.

I don't understand why we separate it all and they just mix it all back up including the paper and cardboard. What don't you understand about that? I have pics of it all thrown together in the back of the truck paper, cardboard, plastic, glass. They just throw it all including the paper in together. Again why do we bother to separate it? Just watch next time they pic up.

I think they want the paper in the containers with the lids to keep it dry. But I just throw all mine together and they have never said a thing about it.
