Thank you for this Editorial. Yes, A lawsuit on even a local level is a beginning. The problems of a 5 year wait for license renewal from the state DEP is a much larger issue. If there is enough support from outside groups, there should be a lawsuit against the state for allowing the hundreds of violations since 2003. And not following through on relicensing when a very different type of waste water arrives in the form of toxic Fracking waste water is plain negligence from the appointed DEP director. The waste water game changes when Fracking fluids are involved and the state leaders know this, but push through in hopes of public silence. Thank you Warren TO for publishing. Now please have a complete and fact filled follow-up from this meeting.

Correction: 400 violations since 2010! not 2003. DEP has its head stuck in the sand or in the noose of our open-up fracking, full-speed ahead, be*******with the science needed for environmental (and human) protection, governor.

How do people disagree with these comments.Wastewater treatment should be used as an example .Fines foot dragging for liscensing constant oversight by the public as well.Even their employees have been talking about how the Gov. wont touch em Id touch em with a 9 pound hammer. Its OUR wild and scenic river ..with acceptional water quality.
