I agree with cletis80. I like Mork park which is beside the bike hike trail. It is more of a fit. Do you think downtown employees want to get all sweaty and then go back to work??? Parking is extremely limited and NO one wants to work out on a busy corner.

I can see someone getting hurt on the exercise equipment and then watch out.

The corporate money could be better spent on other recreation and fitness programs. Warren has had two fitness trails or parks in the past. One at Betts Park and the other near WGH which have both been removed for some reason.

"Parks and Recreation Director Mary Ann Nau noted that deed restrictions on Clemons Park require that the park be left as natural as it can be."

Concrete and steel substructures with poured rubber bases and topped with exercise equipment does not sound very "natural" to me.

I have no problem with a fitness park, but I think the park on East Street would be better. How many people are really going to want to exercise at a park on a busy corner where everyone can watch?
