Yes, I just love how young felons can do $50,000-100,000 worth of damage, yet the tax-payers are supposed to act flowery and offer them help. Offer THEM help? They did the damage and WE are not allowed to view them negatively? May we move on to reality now? PUNISHMENT AND RESTITUTION. EVERY SINGLE PENNY.

Well, it is nice to know that negative attitude is the reasonthese people did this. I just hope that their defense attornies are good enough to use that as a defense. "Yes, your Honor, that is my client in the videotape, but what the camera doesn't record is the societal negative attitude that forced him to even consider this to begin with."

Did anyone else watch the WICU 12 video? This article does not do the amount of damage justice. Dr. J. is right on--I do feel violated! I hope and pray that their punishment somehow matches their thoughtless and despicable crime.

"For my disagree person: how do you propose to help someone who does not desire help?"

That may have been me. You know, just keeping up my negative persona.

I thought he locked them in a bathroom? Where was the "community" on that one? Oh, that's right it was charging the mean person for detaining the little angels until the police arrived.

Thank you for the details, Webster. My sentiment still stands. Let's protect victims. What should the man have done? No video, no witnesses, let them go then it's his word vs. theirs in court with people saying "oh, those poor kids". No, thank you.

Heydrich, it was 4 kids ages 8 -10. All 4 were busting the place up with hammers.

Two teenagers break into and vandalize a home outside Rochester. Man catches criminals and locks them in a closet until police arrive. Man gets charged with endangering the welfare of children. Can we please start PROTECTING THE VICTIMS!

FORTHEKIDS, you probably think that Leslie Van Houton should have been released after her 20th parole hearing, too, because she and Charlie and the rest of the family just didn't get enough attention from kind-hearted people like yourself. They were just good people with bad habits, right? So let's fix them.

I would say you are 1 out 3.

"Identifying it and doing something about it are 2 different things."

They legally have to report signs of possible abuse?

oh..I see...so this type of crime or any crime only happens if you come from a bad home. And if you do drugs or drink alcohol you must come from a bad home. Oh--and if you get pregnant you must come from a bad home. I think NOT!

The most important thing that all you do-gooders MUST understand is that, regardless of the problem, you CANNOT HELP ANYONE WHO DOES NOT WANT HELP! That desire must come from within. You can talk all you want, you cannot put it into anyone else. So stop pretending to be something you cannot be. You cannot fix a problem which is not recognized as a problem by the one who has it. So, consequences are what you are left with. Do you seriously believe these kids have remorse? WAKE UP!

"Well, MTOMTO, it is just that kind of negativity that brings this county down. So many negative people, so many drugs, so much crime."

So now I'm a negative, drug addicted, criminal?

"I think that they may receive training in identifying it? " Identifying it and doing something about it are 2 different things.
