Great letter Karen. Your family history is deep in Youngsville and that is what makes Youngsville what it is.

As Karen points out in her letter, sickofit, this isn't anything new for Youngsville. They've been "taking part in such a worth while cause" for many years.

Not to detract from the Youngsville limelight, but sincere thanks to the Eisenhower Band members who gave their time to support the Memorial Day service at the Pine Grove Cemetery. Likewise thanks to ALL who supported similar ceremonies throughout the county. Remembering veterans' sacrifices is the reason for the day. Picnics, BBQs, family get togethers, etc., are nice, but should take a back seat to the real reason for the day. Thank those responsible for our freedoms.
