As a former Warren resident for 31 years and a former volunteer and career firefighter in Warren County. The departments are doing the best they can with what manpower and money they have available. It may be time for the county commissioners to look at possibly putting paid drivers in certain volunteer stations in the county. I know this will require tax revenue to an already financially strapped county. But what is the cost of protecting the citizens that voted you into office. You need to make protecting their lives and interests a number one priority. It's harder and harder to have volunteers turnout during weekday hours. People need to work to support their families, many work several jobs these days. Yet they still find time to answer the calls for help for the communities in which they live. They don't disregard your requests for help so don't disregard theirs. You need to pull all departments into one strong association and share manpower and assets alike.
