Just trying to be fair. Try sleeping in a tent for a year in the hot desert sun less than 100m from an airfield, all the while being hit with artillary and what ever else they decide to throw at you, while the city leadership sat home and saw it only as a news story. How is that for fair?

What's fair? Two members of City Council are Veterans. Each served multiple tours of duty, one from Iraq and one from Vietnam both continue to serve their city on council. Perhaps they have seen that they are responsible for the costs of maintaining all of the parks, and are using the fees to do just that. It's called fiscal responsibility. So before you disrespect and criticize leaders and their actions, do your homework. They continue to serve. You want it more fair, get elected or put a sock in it.

If any organization shouldn't have to pay, it's the veterans. They are the reason this country is free and I think that's a slap in the face. It's not like they're throwing a friggin party. This city manager *****. Cut this and cut that..really...take a pay cut

Screw the fiscal responsibility or trying to be fair to "everyone." It is apparent the smaller towns around the city of Warren are more accommodating and respectful of Veterans and other non-profit organizations! Youngsville 1 / Warren 0
