My question exactly. Did the WTO screw up, or was it the writer? Maybe both should be drug tested.

Give Jack a break. He was probably burning a bowl as he was writing this. But that stuff is perfectly harmless. Right Jack? Dope, and any chemical which alters your mental state, is for people who can't face reality.

He does touch on something that i feel is going on everywhere. The explosion of these pain killers that like never before have flooded doctors, hospitals, streets, bars, homes,etc.. Everybody from Rush Limbaugh to the homeless on the streets have faced this epidemic and NOT so new "pharmaceutical drug" problem. Pharmacies stock tenfold supplies of them then they did ten years ago. Humm.. Ten years ago ? Sounds like about when we went to Afghanistan wasn't it? I will let you draw your own conclusions. I have mine. Maybe Eli Lilly, Merck, and Pfizer has something to say ?

Absolutely! Lets repeal the 21st Amendment, reinstate the 18th amendment, reinstate the Volstead Act. Those last two worked so well. Alcoholism rates actually increased. Let's enact an amendment banning the sale of tobacco, a plant that contains a substance as addictive as ****** per milligram. Actually fatal in large dosages. Then we can order our women to wear burkas, and voila, the American Talibani. lets all ululate together.

"Dope, and any chemical which alters your mental state, is for people who can't face reality."

I thought that the saying was "Reality is for people who can't handle drugs"?

If ignorance is bliss you must be quite comfortable.Your opinion may be true if you don't have a predisposition to addiction And yes it is genetic.I really don't think there is a huge problem with marijuana, it certainly has less negative affects than alcohol . At least less violent affects.I have dealt with people with the disease of addiction for years. If it causes no problems in your life, go for it. But that's not the case for everyone. Pirate , Why don't we see any afgani Hash or direct shipments of opium coming home with our troops? There is virtually none coming here. very little raw opium comes in anyway.Mexico is the biggest importer by far of processed opiates.. Mallencroft labs would be the 2nd.

"The explosion of these pain killers that like never before have flooded doctors, hospitals, streets, bars, homes, etc."

Excellent point, but please allow me to take that one step further. Addiction treatment often includes prescription drugs. A replacement of illegal drugs for legal drugs if you will.

Behavioral Psychs prescribing drugs to our youth for ADHD. Have you reviewed some of the questions on the analysis exam? "If you are working on an assignment would a loud noise distract you?" Ahhh yes?

Crossley, I googled "Sheffied" and came up empty. ?? Now, for the proponents of dope use: would you be comfortable with a surgeon who is about to perform open heart surgery on you toking up or popping a few "harmless" pills to relax just before splitting your ribs? Be honest now.

Would you like to enter the cockpit and light up with the pilot before taking off on a cross-country flight? How about standing before a judge who has the power to put you away for years minutes after he finished off a bit of Maui Wowie?

Stonewall: Reductio ad absurdum is the attempt to disprove an argument by showing that it leads to an absurd consequence. Typically, that method of argument is a last resort strategy employed when all other attempts fail. No, I would not like to have a pilot or surgeon perform his or her duties while impaired by "Maui Wowie." But I would likewise not have them perform their duties while impaired by alcohol or "legal" prescription drugs. Stop with the absurd arguments and explain why in world where tobacco and alcohol are permissible, that "pot" is not. And don't start with the gateway drug nonsense because that argument is also contrived.

I wish the feds would just hurry up and allow for states rights on this issue. But Jack my friend I know a place.....a place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. Im talking about a little place called Aspen.
