The reason why the loss to qzab is so important is because of the picture it paints for the future. We took out loans for millions of dollars expecting the federal government to pay us back most of the interest on this loans through an irs program called qzab. If we lose the ability to re coop this interest through qzab then the picture of the district will be very dismal. This 100,000$ will be nothing in comparison. The district needs to revisit their plans and reasonably scale back so to be able to return some of the loan.

QZAB loses $100,000 and Special Ed loses $200,000 and this article is all about QZAB. Seems like the story about gutting Special Ed is about twice as important. Shows you where our priorities are as a community.
