His name is John not Tom....but be careful jumping on this bandwagon. This gas tax is also to help the millions needed for public transportation in the eastern portion of the state. Philadelphia will gain the most. So while the rural resident who uses more gas, driving more miles, and struggling to pay the bill sees the increase, already those in the city will be able to benefit through their public transportation getting a boost. Raise the costs and let them pay for it and then make sure the gas tax is distributed to benefit equally is what would be fair...

Raise it by 10 cents and fix the roads across the state. and increase the sales tax by 1.5 percent to add upto 7 billion dollars to pay for our education needs. Well then have to increase the state personal tax rate to provide oversight that polititions dont just steal the $.I am serious on the first 2 issues.
