If they can not get the money back they should take up a collection from the board. They made the mistake of paying before he moved.

WCSD knew what happened and tried to sweep it under the rug!!! I am so frustrated that I can't even think straight. Central office does not want this to be looked into because some of their people were involved. and why if Huff had a contract, why was he just allowed to break it? The answer to that is , it WAS NOT a mistake!!! Also, people got a raise at CO to go and look for a new super because of all their EXTRA work? What about all the teacher, aides, custodial? They are the ones that are with our kids! Where is their raise?

"Also, people got a raise at CO to go and look for a new super because of all their EXTRA work?"

And the board promptly hired a consultant to conduct the search?

The supplemental was not to look for a new superintendent, it was because they would be spreading out those duties. While some of the administrators have received 1500 a month, our acting superintendent is making 4000 a month on top of her normal salary, which makes her pay higher than what our Superintendent was making.

I would not be surprised to find out other members of "the boys club" were also involved...but why investigate when $1500 raises were given. The school board needs a LARGE amount of pressure placed on them from the community. DISGUSTING! The “directors” and board members should be ashamed of themselves. Additionally, many of these “directors” just traveled to a “conference” in Chicago, conveniently over St Patty’s Day…also on the tax payer’s money. Again…DISGUSTING!

I'm no lawyer, but isn't malfeasance by a public official a crime? Breach of public trust or something like that? That credit card should have been in a safe at his office, not in his pocket at a casino.
