Consider it social activism at its finest. A group of third-graders were in their social studies class last year and read about communities that celebrate Founders Day....

What a great idea. The Founders are listed on a monument in Crescent Park. It would be interesting to see how many of those family names are still here in Warren. The monument was erected by the General Joseph Warren Chapter DAR which after 102 years is still in existence in Warren.

Great job by the St. Joes students! However, the article stated the town was named after General Warren, not that he founded it.
