Maybe someone should start policing the police instead. I dont know how many times I have seen a city officer doing 50mph or more down third street. How about a unmarked police officer passing you in excess of 100mph at night on route 6 with no lights or siren? Please start setting the example before preaching about it.

Other reasons for driving 45 in a 55 is that it gives one more time to avoid the deer, bears, dogs, bicycles, buggies, tractors, and to dodge the pot holes in the poorly maintained PA roads. You get stopped for speeding, just tell the officer your late for work, doctor's appoint. etc. He needs a good laugh.

Good. Has anyone else noticed that nobody stops for stop signs anymore? I have had many close calls because of it. And I honestly dont think they should put warning signs up. Because people will obey the laws then when they are clear, they will act all stupid. Maybe if more people got traffic violations they would obey the laws.

Try going around a curve on Jackson Run going the speed limit and have to slam on your brakes because a car is going 10mph. Not only are they being dangerously slow, but naturally they don't pull off to the side to let you by either.

Better to spend the money on roads and bridges.

Some advice I got years ago about getting upset with older drivers, think about your own grandparents when it happens.

And then there's those people who drive in the left lane all the way from Warren just to turn left at Follet Run, or even worse, all the way to Walmart in the left lane to turn left there. They keep looking in the mirror wondering why I am so close, beeping horn, hi-beam lights, not intelligent enough to know that it is not polite to ride in the left lane with someone behind you and it is dangerous for me to pass you on the right, although it is legal if done safely.

Intentionally driving 10 mph below the posted speed limit (given good weather conditions) is obnoxious and inconsiderate. It is as bad as aggressive driving.
45 in a 55 zone is obnoxious enough, but 35 in a 45, 25 in a 35, and 15 in a 25 are progressively worse.
Most people use our roads and highways to get places, not to dawdle. Some people might have appointments to make, or need to get to work on time, etc. You are being rude to those people Rockytop.

I like driving 45MPH. It saves gas and wear and tear on my vehicle. Don't have to use the brakes as much and I get better gas miliage. I'll let you pass if you wish but don't ride my bumper. If you cause an accident that injuries me trying to get there before anyone else,I will sue you. All that time you saved by speeding will disappear. Most likely your insurance will also go up.

I've lost count of how many times I've been behind a couple of motorists playing "chicken" coming in to Warren on Market Street where the two lanes merge.
Who CARES who gets to be "first"? If you're in the left-hand line and it's getting too close to pass the driver on the right just slow down a little and slide in behind them. If you're in the right-hand lane and there's a speed-demon trying to race around you to get in front of you before the lanes combine, let them! Who cares?
Once I saw an 18-wheeler and a car playing chicken like that right to the bitter end, I thought for sure there was going to be an accident. Somehow they didn't collide with each other, but then at the Market & 5th red light they got out of their vehicles and were yelling at each other in some kind of a road rage argument.

Speaking of Mineweaser ,are we supposed to beleive that the lady being harrased on the computer, was not being led on by him.The guy on the computer did not break any law until she said she was 14.

Youngsville Borough Police Chief Todd Mineweaser certainly likes to get his name in the paper a lot. Seems like he is planning on running for political office.

Why do the state and townships go out this morning and plow 1/2" of snow then complain they can't fix our roads? No lack of wasting our money in hard times anywhere! No management.

Colorado I was thinking the same thing. Why must extra funds be spent? The police in this area have more vehicles than needed ,all new I might add.Youngsville has more new cars than they could ever use.Why can not the police do the job? They are paid 24 hours, seven days a week.

Trailer balls hanging out of receivers and doing no left hand turns at CVS are still OK.

So what does this all mean. Will the police now be enforcing laws they have been ignoring for 11 months. Will they be ticketing you for violations that really aren't violations. Have they created another violation (aggressive driving) for one month each year. Why are we spending extra money for the same people to do the same job they are supposed to be doing all year long?

I love the strech from Russell to the mall. The speed limit is posted 55, but all many can muster is 45. Not sure how its aggressive driving if you pass a line of cars going 10 mph under the speed limit. Maybe your being an antagonistic driver by driving so much under the speed limit?

They should also target the drivers in the areas mentioned for speeding up while you attempt to legally pass them. They will go from 40mph to over 70mph during your attempt to pass. People are flying down Market because cars they already passed before the light by Big Joes decide they are going to speed up in that stretch then hit town and go 15mph in a 35. Jackson Run and RT 62 are littered with cars driving more than 15mph below the speed limit. This is why these areas have such a high level of aggressive drivers.
