This is a classic example of "brain drain". We are a community that lost scores of our best and brightest when so much of our local economy vanished. The founders of Warren were also its industrialists, merchants, and professionals. Their names are on our streets, schools, and parks. While those who remain are doing more than their fair share, the backwardization of the industrial northeast is taking its toll here.
