You speak of people in our county behind on property taxes yet we have multi billion dollar corporations who never pay a single cent in taxes.

I used to watch that "Doomsday Preppers" show on TV and laugh at those silly people, now i think maybe they will be laughing when it comes true and they are some of the few who are truly prepared.

I always have to giggle a little when i see some of the good "Christians" posting. In one thread they tell us the decline of our country is because we lack God in our lives yet when something like this comes up they are the first to condemn their fellow man for being in a poor situation.

You know there are elderly people eating canned cat food so they can take their meds and pay rent? I wonder how many are behind on taxes? perhaps we should just toss them and their cans of tender vittles out in the street.

There ARE people in TOUGH situations. You would rather condemn those people than lay the problem at the peoples feet who are really responsible. Our over budget, over spending government.

By all means continue to send billions in foreign aid while our people are starving and homeless. I love having my tax dollars spent on our military being places we don't belong fighting "wars" and "battles" we cannot win. Our jobs continue to leave for cheaper labo

If they do not pay by the third year they loose their house. How does amnesty from anything apply here? The tax man always gets the money plus interest when they are late.

The attitude that yor ENTITLED to property tax amnesty is hilarious. Even Warren County is doling out the dole.

The attitude that yor are better than the rest of the county is crippling in itself.Someone behind on taxes does not make them a deadbeat.People are between a rock and a hard place.Im not sure the writer has figured out wheir the smell is coming from when he gets up off the toilet.

Federal government employees aren't crippling Warren County by not paying their property taxes.

While you are calling all your neighbors dead beats, for not paying their taxes on time. You could start with the federal govt employees that owe 3.5 billon in back taxes.

We are liviing in a area that has lost over 1000 jobs, due to business closings. This pay on time or leave attitude is not cutting it in my book.Maybe you would like the old ways wheir they come in and jerk you out of your house. maybe smack you around a little bit, take a few personal belongings until the next visit. If the so called dead beats do not pay eventually you will get their property,to distribute amongst the choosen few.We are taxed heavily and if thats not enough the mandatory insurance laws are taking the rest.Health insurance thru a local employer are costing over 600.00 per month.Thats a mortgage payment or a car payment.Their comes a time when you have to choose, eat or keep the tax man and insurance companies happy. I do not consider life a business, anyone that does has lost touch with reality.

Unless your property is decreasing in value, your property taxes will go up. That's cost of doing business as a responsible property owner. Death and increased taxes: Every day we're closer to both. AS I said, cost of doing business.

It would be alot easier to pay taxes ,if they would quit going up every year.Corbett has cost tax payers in this state alot of money.Mine are escroed every year, but that does not stop the increases.

Unable to pay, or unable to prioritize your responsibilities?? If you're delinquent on taxes, you don't own anything. You're renting from the rest of us.

If you don't pay your taxes on time and take advantage of this obvious "loophole," you are STEALING from the rest of us. Also, you can't play the "property rights" card if you aren't taking care of your property ownership responsibilities. If you can't pay, let's auction property off to more responsible ownership. The letter writer is correct. Pay your taxes and get off the dole.

I think PA and Utah are the only states left with this antique system. Time to privatize.

Well Frederick it sounds like your checking account is full,no problems paying any taxes.Hope for you the situation does not change, you could be on your own dead beat list.Would anyone want the tax man standing ready at the end of the year to pounce on your property if you were unable to pay?Corbett cut the funding he should be the one on the chopping block. Not all the property owners. The only thing the City ,county state and federal govt know is when they have spent to much money its time to raise taxes again.
