(cont)scaling back construction(we can give back some of the qzab funds),cut programming cuts teachers(administration is changing the class size policy to a reccomended minimum size of 18,cyber for classes that don't make this, many barely get the min of 12 now),and consolidation opens a door to teacher furloughs.Someday we will have no choice but to make the decision on which high schools. If they complete both k-12 facilities then we will have 2 new schools. The answer would be an obvious one.Why do you think the ed spec committees suggestions have fallen on deaf ears and the buildings are being looked at will solely classroom space in mind opposed to the special needs of elementary schools. They need to versility of the building.Just as WAEC is going to be filled according to building capacity and codes opposed to functional cappacity which is best for students.SG better get ready for growth.Changes are coming...

Brazil,I'm in the "city".As far as DG moving in,SG better get used to it because growth will happen. To bring good doctors in,to bring business in,growth happens around newer schools. If you have paid attention to the district plans and finances, there is no money left for WAHS or YHS in the future. We can't afford what we are doing now.The savings only pays for the buildings, not the education within the buildings.Do you think a referendum for a tax increase will pass to save WAHS and renovate?Nope, the central attendance area has the lowest voter turn out.Not happening.I'm skeptical if Sheffield will actually happen and if money will be given back.We have a 4+million dollar deficit right now and the WAEC consoldiation is already built in the budget so that wont touch that deficit. We are shipping special ed off to YEMS to save money. It wont be much in the face of our deficit,so what will help?

Gary, I chose the name Saveourschools based on the education coming out of the schools, NOT the buildings. What is happening in our district is not what is best for education. That needs to change but very few are willing to stand up for education.

Dear Save,
We'll all start trembling in 5-10 years when you all finally approve the Dollar General Store.

Down the road when WAHS and Youngsville is closed and the only 2 high school are in Sheffield and Eisenhower, I hope they are ready for the changes. People will move to area for a new school, for a school that seems like growth is happening. Businesses will come. SG will develop and those who don't want to see it better get use to it quickly.

Do I have this straight, Sugar Grove needs to wait and see what Busti is going to do regarding development and then they'll be the tail wagging after?

Busti needs make plans for a Sugar Grove by-pass highway....that would cut out the greed of some of the town merchants! The Amish could use it also to alleviate the manure problem, win-win for everyone

When I read the title of the article "Where to put business?", I thought that it was another piece on horse manure?

They don't want to pay for a traffic study. They figure let NY taxpayers pay for it.

They need to have a traffic study performed on each road to see which one has a higher volume.
