Problem solved, carry a sled with you and the lights will stay on?

I would add, that to me this is a ridiculous impediment to traffic flow. This is not an intersection that warrants 1-1 priority for traffic flow. Except for a couple hours a day there is minimal traffic coming from Liberty and on weekends it is virtually non-existent. There should be a light there and it should be timed about 3-1 for PA Avenue. Having a 4 way stop sign there makes as much sense as having one at PA & East which is....no sense.

Hmmm... don't remember any of them in my last visits there in November and September and I was right on the main drag. Will be back in the Spring and will check them out

Brazil-Actually Meadville has replaced many signalized intersections with 4 way stops. Everyone there seems to have embraced them. Maybe WTO should interview Joe Chreist, the City Manager about their successes!

The Liberty Street intersection doesn't work well at all. It's an embarrassment. I can say in all the traveling I've done I have never seen a similar situation where the major thoroughfare through a town has a 4 way stop. It is absolutely ridiculous.

Leave the four way stop sign, install some road spikes, and who ever installs the most quarters gets to have their spikes retract and gets to go first.

The four way stop works just fine. No light needed, coin op or otherwise. IMHO.

I think Frugal's idea might spur the council to end the 4 way stop sign on Warren's main arterial. They can now look at possible revenue from an additional coin operated traffic light.

Really, Frugal, that is just a very stupid and childish thing to write. I'm sure they really don't care how the lighting is, if you want to play after dark those are the lighting conditions to play under.

I think they could just make the Hickory St Bridge a toll bridge. Think of the bucks they could make then.

Nothing like playing favorites. Free for sled riding, but not those nasty B-Ball players?

Removing every other street light and half of the traffic lights could same a couple of bucks, Or maybe just put coin boxes on them. If you want them to turn green, deposit a quarter.

the lighting there isn't even adequate to play basketball under. So if they want people to pay, they better improve that lighting.
