It is amazing how no one understand supply and demand. Drive to Erie if you think it will save money,*****drive to New Jersey where it surely is cheaper too. This town would become desolate if the refinery was to shut down.

reasonable, If the refinery shutdown, this towns gas prices would come down .The only reason the prices out of town are lower is because their are other suppliers.United is not the only supplier. This is how supply and demand works, other suppliers mean that united has to stay in line with their prices.Warren does not have that luxury,we pay what ever united wants to charge. They really do treat us well.

You can sure tell who the United employees are in here. They do get an employee discount at the pump.

United charges this area 25 cents more per gallon ,because their refinery is here. No one else ,at this time is delivering here. They have no competition.Yet!

If Exxon could get their gasoline in here for 5 cents cheaper they would, and then Kwikfill would have to lower prices. No one can get their gasoline here for the same price, thus they charge what they can while keeping other competitors out.
Stonewall, you too can get a discount card for 5 cents off per gallon.

Some of the same people that complain about the gas prices i.e. United still think nothing about buying a 16oz bottle of water for $1.50. That's $12 a gallon for water!
Also usually the difference in URC prices and those in Erie is 5 to 10 cents. Let's say you have a 20 gallon tank. So it costs you $1 to $2 more to fill up. Really you're whining about a buck or two and then go to Tim Horton's and pay $3 for a 50 cent cup of coffee.
I think people just like having something to complain about.
I don't work at URC.
Let the bashing of me begin, since that's what most people tend to do in here. Instead of just debating the issue.

Lifelongresident,This area puts up with the trucks, the smell ,the chemicals. They gouge us to the point that 1 or 2 dollars times 1000 sales a day, adds up to 1.5 millon dollars a year. This is uniteds way of saying thanks.Ive never been to Tim Hortons and would not buy water.

gas - $3.74 per gallon. mpg - 25. . . . would you push your car 25 miles for $3.74?
trying to stay positive because we'll never beat them. it's still a pretty cheap means of transportation to get from point a to point b.
