Why bring in more money, they will just find a way to waste it and raise taxes to cover their waste.

Didn't they say that about the casinos too? Weren't those supposed to give millions of dollars to schools across the state--and that didn't happen. I won't believe that we will get any money from this until it happens. Just more empty promises from our leaders...

if the governor would use the sales tax monies for their original intended purpose, we wouldn't have to sell liquor stores.

I seem to recall that Corbett has a history of using this kind of manipulation in order to privatize. I believe he has ulterior motives, and I do not believe he has any intention of creating any long-term solution for education. It is regrettable that our new state Senator has seen fit to support this liquor sales initiative. Ditto for the Lottery deal with a foreign entity. Landfill Tommy will never change.

The audacity of this Governor to regularly sell his soul to the highest bidder is beyond belief. The selling out of the children of Pennsylvania in his pursuit paints even a worse portrait of a man destined to go down in history as one of the worst governors in our history. This is classic carny shysterism at its best. He'll throw out some candy, hoping Pennsylvanians will bite without realizing that it's a short term supply to be replaced with nothing.
