Please don't limit it to "Gentlemen of the NRA",there are many women that must be included today. Guns are not just a man's world today.I can tell you are a hunter, that's fine ,but you CAN NOT just limit your rights to hunting either. You also over look the obvious, and quit penalizing the ones that enjoy collecting,or shooting other types of weapons. The second ammendment is for all,not just a few of you.

1. No one, including the NRA, is suggesting allowing the general public to own tanks or planes.
2. We ARE NOT talking about assault weapons. That's just another attempt to mislead the public just as the so called cop killer bullet myth was used.
3. In the revolution both sides were armed with muskets so the playing field was relatively equal. Today the modern rifles are inferior to the military's but closer than a musket would be.
4. Countries all over the world have been overthrowing governments even being outgunned. Private ownership also gives us a standing civilian army far exceeding Russia or China's. Something the British or French did not have in WW2.
5. The Feinstein bill Is ALL ABOUT outlawing HUNTING RIFLES and SHOTGUNS, and nothing about keeping us safe. It bans a group of firearms responsible for less than 45 deaths out of a average of 13,000 anually
6. There are more WOMEN entering the shooting sports than at any time in our history

I know someone that does own such things so I would say it must be ok! He has quit the collection! If I could post a link I'd post a video of one such weapon in use! Or search YouTube for Gary vs the alien watch the demonstration of a flame thrower that even the government won't use any longer! Sorry to burst your bubble!

In the past few years, the White House and Democrat think tanks have examined ways that political pundits might be regulated. There was an on-going effort to bend free speech laws in order to gag the likes of Rush Limbaugh,Sean Hannity, and others. Somehow the laws governing equal time, national security, even obscenity were looked at to see if the radical right radio hosts could be silenced. The recent debate over gun rights actually approaches this issue from a different side. If the second ammendment can be twisted or "modernized" so then can free speech. This debate is as much about our most sacred rights as it is about guns.

One F22 Raptor restructured (upgraded)fighter aircraft costs over $200 million. If you've got that kind of spare change, have at it. Bear in mind that this is just an initial procurement cost. (I really don't know about sales tax??)You'll have to factor in the cost of 30 maintenance hours for each hour of flight time.

Someone answer this, why is the Department of Homeland Security in the process of procuring an additional 450 million rounds of hollow point ammunition, on top of the billions already on hand? Why procure thousand more full-auto assault rifles? Speculation is (here come the "conspiracy theory" comments) that the gov't is prepping for the coming civil unrest as our country continues to unravel. I believe that private John Q Citizen is entitled to any type of "defensive" weapon which the gov't also possesses. Call me a nutjob, but also permit me to say "I told ya so" when the new civil war happens...and it WILL.

A General Atomics MQ-1 Predator costs 4.03 million. An AGM-114 hellfire missle costs $ 68,000. And you can operate it remotely via video control from the comfort of home.

Oh right. Bombs don't kill people. People kill people. The bomb was merely a harmless tool used incorrectly by a madman.

To put the blame on the NRA is ludicrous! To use our own military against “We the People.” I think not. Thank God our forefathers didn’t have your narrow minded, arrogant attitude. If they had, we would be under British rule. What is there about the “Bill of Rights” and the constitution that you don’t understand? If you don’t agree with the way they are written . . . then leave. There are plenty of dictatorship countries that will take you. They provide rocks and bottles to fight government tyranny.
