Flies?? Do you really spend that much time walking in the street that flies are a problem? With all that's going on that seems a little petty living in a farming area don't you think? As far as stepping in it goes try looking down once and awhile.

we have so called criminals in jail. let them go daily and pick it up and call it community service. maybe a few pictures in the paper may deter any future misdemeanors. (sp)

I may be simple, but sometimes simple solutions work the best. Horse diapers! No really, it's called a bun-bag. A horse and buggy are easily equipped with a bag that strings behind the horse's behind and collects the road apples before they can hit the road. Once their destination is reached, the bag contents can be disposed of properly. If you would talk with them, I don't think there would be much of an objection, it's a really old concept and requires no electricity or plumbing.

Why not take the extra taxes paid by the new Dollar General and pay someone to pick it up. Oh that's right Sugar Grove is the town that won't let Dollar General in, or self storage ,or now Amish.

Omigosh, 100 years ago, every town had this problem, plus dirt streets! Hire some pooper-scoopers. Figure out a tax that hits the Amish, too (buggy-parking permit?)

I think they should take responcibility for their actions,for their life style and beliefs,as we have to.They spend money as we do,but we can't discard crap on the roads.Joggers or walkers do not have to put up with that Crap either. Police won't enforce it? WHY? They are'nt affraid to arrest skate boarders,or a young man that dicarded a cigarette but out the window while riding with his granfather. They make oil field,or contractors clean excess mud off the roadways. They need to be responcable as we do.

Take the good with the bad....do they contribute to the Sugar Grove area? Spend their money, bring in tourists, etc? I am sure this is happening in other areas too.
