Hufnagle helped save our district from the brink of bankruptcy and from being taken over by the state. He made some choices that tried to compromise with saving some money and keeping schools open. He seemed to have a decent relationship with the board and the teachers. He is not responsible for the test scores of a low scoring class (who are now graduated and gone). All that being said, I am disappointed in him for this decision. He stood before us 18 months ago in the WAHS gym on our opening day of that school year and told us how he was moving his family here, how he was dedicated to this area, and how he would be in this for the long haul. I have a distinct feeling we are not getting the whole story from someone here.
