Slick roads play part in local crashes

Police said a 17-year-old high school student from Clarendon lost control of his truck, crossed over the center lane and slid into a bus at about 8 a.m. on Rt. 6 in Weldbank Thursday morning....

"IF" we could just get people to avoid unnecessary travel,or just plain "SLOW DOWN",the accidents would be kept to a mimimum.

Why wasn't this 17 year old on the school bus instead of the truck. It makes more sense to be riding the schoo bus that the parents pay school taxes for. Now the parents will have to pay out much higher auto insurance because of this accident that the 17 year old was involved in.
