Guess what, Elaine, the "electoral college" is the ultimate form of gerrymandering. It was devised so that neither urban nor rural regions of the country would not have a distinct voting advantage. If you really want to avoid the type of hanky-panky that the Republican-led Pennsylvania reps are doing, GET RID OF THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE and go with the true will of the people. Make the POPULAR vote the rule of the land and all this will be moot.
