peeon1, "would have GONE into politics". countryguy, "Warren could HAVE had..." As much as I would have enjoyed politics, I think I'd have done much better teaching high school english. My two degrees are in neither of the above. (One is in Celsius, the other in Fahrenheit.)

This whole matter is like the huge, sucking black hole in Star Trek. Does anyone think we should attend Dick Campbell's Tea Party instruction on the Constitution? Maybe Christine and Jim will be there? "Celebuturds", LOL. Seriously, this whole matter is disgusting. It is a black stain on the entire area.

I knew it was just a matter of time before the Cheronis' were brought front and center....now to get the Mayor to stand beside them.

st0newa11, just think what you would be making if you would have went into politics? How about "The Dirty Dozen", (I'll give two of them the benefit of the doubt)?

My first job EVER was on Liberty Street, at the YMCA, now a retirement center. I got paid $2.30 per hour. Just think of what I could have gotten, if it was a UNION job!

The Subtraction Faction
Faction - A term for a group of people banded together to seek some self-serving or "selfish" goal through the political process, with the implication being that they usually hope to do this by riding rough-shod over the rights or legitimate interests of many of their fellow citizens.

The complaint also claims that "building and land acquisition repayments, including repayments to Christine Cheronis and James Cheronis, totaling $115,434.00" were derived from grant funding.
Can someone clarify this for me. I guess I'm a little confused. Does the above mean that land $115,434 was allegedly repayed to them? Or part of that $115,434 was repayed to them, and the rest used for land acquisition? The article states $5k was repayed, but is that included in the $115,434, or was there more funds diverted to them as well?

I REALLY love the accompanying "family portrait". Oh, the good old happy days. LOL. How about a caption contest? I submit "The King and His Court".

"Hopefully next time they screen the receipiants a little better."
Hopefully next time when the City makes a loan, they monitor what the heck is going on. The City failed here too. Not one mention of who told Mrs. Cheronis to use the funds to pay Penelec to install an electrical connection for the convention center with these funds? How much was that again, $ 274,000? I guess that you can't serve as ovdersight if you're part of the problem. Fox / chicken coop?

Kinzua, maybe because there are also good, hardworking, and honest people who also work for the city and the simple fact that they may be happy to have a job, and grateful! As with any place in America, there will always be people who srebt honest and trusting. And it's "cesspool."
