Ummm shadow, maybe you should go read your manual.

The first vehicle to reach the intersection should move forward first. If two vehicles reach the intersection at the same time, the driver on the left yields to the driver on the right.

If you read your driver's manual you used to take your driving test..it states that the car to your "left" has the right-of-way. Why should we spend $100,000 to suit people that dont know the driving laws?

Here's the rule for pedestrians: Always stop for any pedestrian crossing at corners or other crosswalks. Do not pass a car from behind that has stopped at a crosswalk. A pedestrian you can't see may be crossing.

I think the "morons" have right of way.

"WHY DIDN'T THE LIGHT GO IN FIRST,THEN THE SIDEWALK???"

Because replacement of the light was to be included in phase II of streetscape along with paving. The state defunded phase II, so no light, and please stop yelling.

Writer, this will amaze you, but because that is a state roadway, out-of-area people actually drive there! Shocking! And they're gawking at the Big Blue Ugly and the empty storefronts and don't see the 4 stop signs. For right now, hang BIG "FOUR-WAY STOP HERE! ROTATE RIGHT FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY!" signs. Cheaper than a signal, but better than nothing.

writer, it's not the drivers that are the only problem at the light--it's also the pedestrians who think that they can just keep walking without stopping to even look if there is traffic coming.

This has proved to be perfectly acceptabe, except for a few whiners. It is a safe method of traffic control, and the traffic control has never been better at this intersection. The problem is,it is a personal agenda for a few,to be able to say "I got it re-installed".PLEASE city of Warren, don't decide to hire consultants to do a study. If you people can't make the intelligent correct decision, read past posting in WTO's readers speaks where "COMMON SENSE" comes into play.

We don't need the light there. Warren people just need to start driving as if they don't own the roads. In fact lets save some more money and take away all the lights up and down Liberty street and replace them with stop signs. None of those intersections are busy enough to require a traffic light.
