Yes,but that would reflect the truth and some people just can't handle it. Some are offended by veracity and we just can't have that. Political correctness wins...again.

Yes, MTOMTO, it IS your job. Goebbels vacated the position in 1945. Please don't replicate his actions, that was a bit gruesome!

There is no anti-2nd amendment movement as you put it. Get real. Herman Goring, typical knee jerk reaction to a not well researched thought. We absoulutely do not need semi-auto/automatic weapons in our society, just because WE THE PEOPLE have a right to own guns. We don't need bullets manufactured in this country that only purpose is to get thru a policemans armour. Get real and get over it.

reasonrules with your argument there are a lot of things in this country that we do not need. So with such reasoning good bye ice cream, good bye sports cars, good bye alcohol, and so on. Just because you don't find enjoyment in shooting such weapons doesn't mean that they should be taken from innocent people who do. It's a shame that this country panics as a result of less than 1% of gun owners misusing them. Yet we don't get this same reaction over drunk drivers who kill far far more people than guns in this country. But hey lets panic and punish the innocent.

I find it interesting that the liberal politicians are rushing to pass laws against semi-auto rifles based on the recent shooting when the official police report on what actually happened won't be out for another six weeks or so. The police are on record saying that the completed report will prove false many of the claims made thus far about what happened. At this time we don't even know for sure which firearm was used in the shooting. Wouldn't it seem reasonable to find out what actually happened and why before proposing laws to make sure it didn't happen again

It's crisis mode government. The fiscal cliff was put in motion in 2011 to force them to deal with the debt ceiling issue. Nothing is done until three weeks before the cliff date and the answer is raise taxes. Then the debt ceiling (the original cause of the cliff) approaches, crisis, punt three months. They had over a year to address this and did nothing.

If you think "we have to pass the bill to find out what's in the bill" isn't managing by crisis, you are sadly mistaken.

Now it's pushing an anti gun agenda in crisis mode using the horrific act in Newtown as justification.

The letter-writer's ignorance is exceeded only by his ignorance. Something that is wrong is not a lie unless there is a conscious effort to deceive. But then I don't expect a Neanderthal gun-gripper to be able to think rationally. That's why nobody listens to gun nuts except for other gun nuts; they're always shouting "Conspiracy!" when there are no conspiracies. It would also help the man's credibility if he could spell Goering, or know his position. He's just repeating half-remembered slogans he heard somewhere. There's a word that is appropriate: "dolt."

dubedit - the letter writer's ignorance is exceeded only by his ignorance? That's beautiful. You've tried very hard to establish your grasp of vocabulary and grammar now step aside, this is big boy stuff.
