Pay It Forward

Help for people to obtain medical help

Lisa to
May 25, 2008

“It’s the small practical things that people need the most,” explained Lisa To of why she chose her idea for the “Pay It Forward” challenge. “The situations that these people are facing are beyond what many of us can imagine. It is the caregivers that are truly the every day heros for them.”

To believes that it would be a great idea to give the money in the form of gas cards to the caregivers that have to drive family members to doctor appointments downtown.

“When my aunt was very ill, my mother would drive her across town every day for treatment and it would be very hard on her financially,” said To. “To give some of these caregivers a break from the stress of having to take care of someone they love who is in an awful situation will hopefully make it easier on them knowing that they can have somewhat of a break.

To said, “These families have known a lot of hardship and burdens this would help ease the pain just a little.”
