LSS Has New Food Provider

Lutheran Social Services has enlisted Morrison’s Management Service to enhance the quality of meals for its residents, as well as to take a hospitality and customer service approach to dining. “Food management is critical to the health of those we serve,” said Tom Holt, Lutheran Social Services president and CEO. “Diet affects everything from a resident’s energy level, to the integrity of the skin, to managing chronic conditions such as Diabetes. By making mealtime more enjoyable, we believe it will improve appetites and ultimately improve people’s quality of life.” Morrison Management specialists provide food, nutrition and dining services to seniors in more than 370 facilities in 41 states. “By taking advantage of Morrison’s economies of scale,” Holt added. “We believe we can provide a fine dining experience at a price we can afford. They also have the expertise to consider all the factors that go into a meal plan for those with special medical needs.
