Larry Ahn, a student of Kimio Nelson’s Fighting Tigers Martial Arts competed at the Lake Erie Open held Sept. 27 in Cambridge Springs. Ahn placed second in fighting and second in forms in the event hosted by the Edinboro Family Martial Arts Center.
Youth soccer The Kinzua U-12 soccer team shut out visiting Oil Region/Titusville, 12-0, on Sunday. For Kinzua, Tristan Boger scored three goals, Kennedy Cratty scored two goals and had one assist, Graham Johnson and Kathryn Lobdell each scored two goals, Steffen Blair scored one goal and had three assists, Joshua Eernisse scored one goal and had one assist, Julie Jameson scored one goal, and Ashley Barker had an assist. Eernisse and Jason Tipton shared goalie duties for the shutout. J.V. cross Youngsville’s Ryan Pepper was 35th in 20:47 in the junior varsity cross country race at the Dirty Dawg Invitational Saturday at Harbor Creek High School. Teammate Josh Lewis was 37th in 20:53, Derek Wachter 52nd in 22:15 and Jacob Gambino 66th in 24:27. Eisenhower’s Jordan Quiggle finished in 23:42.
