Christopher Johnson
Christopher Johnson of Youngsville has been recognized by the U.S. Achievement Academy as a student of excellence in social studies. A student at Youngsville Middle School, Johnson was nominated for this honor by Melissa Landis, a teacher at the school. His name will appear in the academy’s official yearbook. Students are chosen on the basis of academic performance, interest and aptitude, leadership qualities, responsibility, enthusiasm, motivation to learn and improve, attitude and cooperative spirit. He is the son of Dale and Kellie Johnson of Youngsville. — — Michael Connolly is a 2010-11 recipient of a $1,000 Pennzoil Scholarship from Clarion University. Connolly, sophomore legal business studies major, is a son of Margaret Connolly of Warren and the late James Connolly and is a graduate of Warren High School. Two scholarships are made available by the foundation through an endowment account established by Pennzoil.
