A 17-7 Cathedral Prep first quarter was too much to handle for Warren, falling 61-49 Saturday at Warren Area High School. Scoring 10 points in the first three minutes of the second quarter, the Class AAA Dragons closed the gap to four points — 19-15 — on Quad-A Prep, but the Dragons (5-4 overall) couldn’t continue the pace in the non-region game. Warren came out strong in the second half, scoring four times on five possessions, but with the Ramblers scoring consistently themselves, the Dragons still trailed by 11. Cathedral Prep spent a good bit of time at the free throw line in the third quarter, courtesy of Warren’s seven team fouls. Cathedral Prep had 17 steals for the game, and Warren 27 total turnovers. “We started off a little slow, offensively,” said Warren head coach Jeff Berdine. “I really think the name of the game today was the size of the kids they brought. They had three or four kids who were 6-foot-5 or bigger, and we struggled with that.” Prep got a lot of second
