Valu gives check to Habitat
On Monday, Valu Home Centers presented a check in the amount of $179,021 to Habitat for Humanity and selected Lisa Merriman of Depew, N.Y., as the winner of a 2010 Ford Focus. Since Valu’s partnership with Habitat for Humanity began 18 years ago, more than $2.7 million has been donated to the organization by customers of Valu Home Center. All of the money raised benefits 17 Habitat affiliates in communities where there is a Valu Home Center. The Warren Cunty Habitat for Humanity affiliate received $2,258.
