The joys of living in the booniesMay 19 marks the anniversary of moving into my house outside of Tidioute. For 16 years, my family and I have lived in the peacefulness of an acre of land with very few neighbors. Don’t get me wrong, it is not like we have an aversion to people. However, it is quiet and I like that. There are many trade-offs which come with that peace. Although I can get up in the morning and see five turkeys frolicking in the backyard, I am sequestered to a life with dial-up internet. So, if I were to take pictures of the gobblers, it would spend the rest of my day trying to upload them on email and the internet.
