#endlesspossibilities

December 20, 2012 - Brian Collins
I think it's time we use the internet for something truly innovative.

Brian Ferry agrees.

Thanks to a scheduling mistake by the PIAA District 10 in which both the Warren and Strong Vincent swim teams were scheduled at home, a brilliant plan has emerged to create a one-of-a-kind competition scenario.

What's stopping us from synchronizing the devices which start races at each respective pool around the country and programming the software that already uploads the results of each individual race to the internet to make it compile results from around the country?

The result?

THE WORLD'S FIRST EVER WORLDWIDE SWIM MEET IN WHICH ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE ABLE TO SWIM AT THEIR HOME POOL.

We know. It's genius. Thanks.

With no travel necessary, our athletes right here in Warren, PA could potentially go "head-to-head" in a "race" against someone in Germany. Without the added pressures of thousands of fans staring at you from the stands, perhaps the individual could achieve something that nervous error might have prevented?

Even if there were a couple teams swimming at the same facility to increase the spirit of competition, the idea would remain the same.

Think about it.

Endless possibilities.
