The Trickle - Doors

December 4, 2012 - Brian Ferry
So, I'm having a little Deja vu.

I feel like I wrote a blog about the doors on the courthouse before.

But, since I can't seem to find it, I must not have. If you see it out there, let me know.

Usually, I don't think much about doors. Even ones I pass through several times in an average day. I notice problems with doors. I notice ugly doors. But, doors in good working order that aren't hideous just escape my attention.

The doors at the Warren County Courthouse are another story. A while ago, I took a picture of the main entrance of the courthouse being boarded up as half of the doors were hauled away for refurbishing.

That pair of doors is back.

They look wonderful. I'm very impressed. I think I can remember what the huge, heavy wooden doors looked like before... I'm seeing dark, brown, almost black wood, with wear over many of the raised portions showing a much lighter color.

Now, the doors are a gleaming dark-reddish color.

The white patch in the picture is the note that asks those passing through to please pull the doors shut behind them.
