The Trickle - A Trickle of Fame

While the millions of readers of my blog already understand, there are still some folks who don't. I'm famous.

One end of a recent sales call to my home ended in a typical fashion... not interested, please remove us from your list. However, the other end wasn't finished.

The caller wasn't pushy, trying to keep us from becoming unlisted or anything. They just wanted a piece of fame. "By the way, is this Bryan Ferry, the singer?"

"No."

"Oh, I was hoping it was. I'm a big fan."

I'll have to start watching for the disappointed faces when I make restaurant reservations, order deliveries, and track down the limo waiting for me at the airport.

Then again, maybe Roxy Music's lead singer isn't quite in a category with Michael Jordan. On the flip side, fewer people are likely to recognize me immediately as NOT "that" Bryan Ferry as are those who look with disappointment at the Michael Jordan in the commercials.
