We went to a comedy club last weekend. (No, I haven't given myself a promotion and begun using the royal 'we') It happened to be Roar on the Shore weekend. I have never imagined so many motorcycles in one place. I was terribly impressed by the gathering amassed for the Thank-a-Vet Dam Run and there is no comparing the two events. Anyway, we were in Erie. On our way back, up Peach, I'm thinking near Barnes and Noble, I saw a VIP. In fact, it was a superhero. That's right, Batman was walking up the hill on the west side of Peach Street. I was three or four lanes of traffic away, but I wanted to express my appreciation. I honked. Batman gave me a wave - it was quick and he didn't look my way, but I'm sure he had pressing business somewhere.
