The Trickle - Bones

November 4, 2011 - Brian Ferry
I don't watch a lot of TV. I watch sports, for the most part. But, I do like Bones, House, and a couple other shows now and then. I watched the season premiere of Bones last night. As usual, the grisly stuff was good and the tech stuff was cool. What I didn't appreciate was the emphasis on relationships within the show. This is not the first episode in which this character interplay was overdone, but, because it involved the main characters, there wasn't a lot of time when the new relationship emphasis wasn't looming large. There was less geeky, techy stuff. There was less of the FBI stuff. There was less of the cool personality quirks. I was disappointed. However, I remembered that a co-worker was a Bones fan. When I mentioned that I was disappointed, both of the women in the room said, "We weren't." I was then informed "We're girls." I suppose geeky, techy stuff doesn't work for everyone.
