The Trickle - Favre

So, Brett Favre is not going to play this year.

I'll believe it when the season is over. I applaud the guy for knowing his limits (this time), but I must say he took his good old time about it. Was he great? Undoubtedly. Was he the greatest? Nope. Did that cameo with the Jets help his career in terms of numbers? Nope. Did it help him toward the HoF? Totally unnecessary. So, I hope it helped him personally. I'm glad to see he didn't pick up with the Vikings (not because I care one way or the other about the team). There always would have been speculation about revenge as motivation. That's not what I'd like to see associated with this guy. Next up... Vick.
