Not the same world

Dear Editor,

As much as I hate to admit it, I think Trump has some good points. Why? Because immigration today is not the same as, say, 80 years ago.

Back then I was very young. But I remember, in our neighborhood, Italians-Polish-Irish and many others who came here to not only be free from tyranny, but to work. And that’s not happening today. The world is a mess and terrorism is everywhere and its hitting us little by little.

We can’t have a guessing game of who is who. Sure, back then, we got some bad people, but the world was not ready to explode. Back then, those immigrants planted vegetable gardens everywhere.

They raised pigs-rabbits-chickens for food, and every male, no matter of age did some kind of work.

I think a lot of us folks wish we had the answer for some of these poor people today. Its just not a good world today.

Semper Fi,
