Pencil pushers

Dear Editor,

The pencil pushes in the wrong direction. Educators: without accountability – competition. Scores are down, tenure in, choice out: Charter/cyber, costs up – way up; like, 10-20K dollars/student/year, WCSD.

Worse, true cost in long-term contamination of youth going in the toilet – how to think. Evidence: ignorantly divided the country, this election, support for Hillary – liar – Clinton.

All came through public education, which for decades brainwashes in anti-capitalism, lowering, instead of raising the bar, rewrite history what made the USA great, in their abstract world of non-reality – status quo is great.

Most school teachers and their unions are democrats. What are they? Socialist out to destroy capitalism. These types hate hard-money business people and those who truly work for a living in a non-government environment. Bureaucrats think (?) they are better, deserve more in their greed of non-accountability to the economy transfer wealth via salaries, perks, benefits, and belly-up, bankrupt pension funds.

If you want good performance, manage on what is bad, not what is good. Otherwise, throws good money after bad. Start with community cries, “You cant touch our teachers. They teach our children.” They don’t!

How does an an egg self-stand on its end? Restructure. Before one more dime goes to teachers, change must come first. Begin against their propaganda, “it’s for the children.” Hogwash! It’s for their pocketbooks.

If not enough pencils/books are in the classrooms, let the teachers fund from their over-inflated-six-months-only-work-paid-full-year salaries. Yard signs should read, “Cuts for the kids.”

So, to cut or not to cut (the mustard)?

Always a choice,

John L. Erickson
