Warren Fargo

Warren D. “Red” Fargo, 92, formerly of Columbus, Pa., died Thursday, February 21, 2019, at the Rouse Home, Youngsville, Pa.

Red was born June 2, 1926, in Jamestown, N.Y., a son of the late Warren R. and Esther Lawson Fargo.

He was raised and educated in Columbus, Pa. As a young man, he served with the U. S Navy in the Pacific Theater during WWII. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to the area and worked hauling milk, driving a truck and for the railroad. In the early 1960’s he began working for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He worked there as an equipment operator, for over twenty-five years until retiring in June of 1988.

Red enjoyed woodworking.

In addition to his parents, Red was preceded in death in 1981 by his wife, Patricia Wilkinson Fargo; two sons, David, and Daniel Fargo; a sister, Lloydine Hotchkiss; and two brothers, Lowell, and Courtney Fargo.

Red is survived by a son, Douglas Fargo of Pittsfield, Pa.; a brother, Rodney Fargo and his wife Dolores of Corry, Pa.; two grandchildren, Tabatha Fargo of Roscoe, N.Y., and Eric Fargo of Corry, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home, Inc., 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Monday from 4 to 6 pm and attend the funeral service there on Tuesday at 11 am.

Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Pa.
