Shirley Byer

SHIRLEY E. BYER 1928 – 2018 Shirley E. Byer, of Pendleton, New York, entered peacefully into rest on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 26, 1928 in Chandlers Valley, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Ernest Hultberg and the former Edith nee Finlan.

She attended and graduated from Sugar Grove High School. Shirley moved to Buffalo, New York in 1951, marrying her husband of 61 years, the late John P. Byer, who passed in 2013.

She loved to spend time with family, reading, jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, knitting, traveling with her late husband and cooking for her loving family. She will be dearly missed by all her loved ones. The family wishes to thank the staff of Niagara Hospice and family friend Denise Danielewicz.

Shirley is survived by her three daughters, Candace (William) Mast, Sandra (Joseph) ZImmer and Gale (Roger) Palmer; cherished grandmother of nine grandchildren Erik, Ryan, Kyle (Brittney), Jeffrey, Matthew, Jennifer, Melanie, Laurie and Phillip; she is predeceased by her six siblings, the late Fred, Elwood Hultberg, Mildred (late Harry) Clough, Betty (late Donald) Reed, James (late Catherine) and Paul (late Ruth) Hultberg; she is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will be present on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the (Tonawanda Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2600 Sheridan Drive, Tonawanda, NY (corner of Parker Blvd), where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 10 AM.
