William Britt Jr.
William J. Britt, Jr., 62, of the Townline Road in Russell, Pa., passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Warren General Hospital, the result of a difficult battle with lung disease.
He was born October 3, 1955 in Jamestown, the son of Hazel Michael Britt and the late William J. Britt, Sr.
Bill had been employed since the age of 18 by TitanX in Jamestown as a fabricator for 44 years.
He was a member of the Frewsburg American Legion and the Carroll Rod & Gun Club.
Bill’s leisure time activities included boating, hunting, camping and 4 wheeling.
In addition to his mother, Hazel, Bill is survived by his wife, Paula Bolles Britt, whom he married August 9, 1997; and three children, Jonathan J. Britt, Michael J. (Tina) Britt and Jenny L. Britt. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Brydget, Jonathan Jr. and Noah Jon Britt, and Mason, Carson and Addyson Britt; a sister, LouAnn Keith; and nephew, Scott Ryan.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1992.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27th in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel W. Cook will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Wednesday.
