Richard A. Bonnett (Dick), 90, of Grand Valley, died peacefully, Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at his home.
He was born March 14, 1927 in Templeton, Pa to Raymond and Dorothy Bonnett. Dick was a graduate of Kittanning High School, a WWII veteran, and a retired machinist. He was born into the family of God at the age of 28 and faithfully served his Lord and Savior for the remainder of his life.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marjorie Shaffer Bonnett; one son, Richard C. (Debbie) Bonnett; one daughter, Janet Bonnett Kuhns; three grandsons, Michael (Ann) Kuhns, Matthew (Cora) Kuhns, and Zachary (Lynda) Bonnett; three granddaughters, Nicole (Justin) Twentier, Michelle Kuhns, and Mindy (Eric) Siefert; seven great grandchildren, Ryan, Charlotte, Tyler, Kate, Helayna, Lyza and Lily. He was one of 10 children and is survived by 2 brothers; James Bonnett and John Bonnett, and 4 sisters, Madge Walleck, Geraldine Craig, Lucille Burns, and Peg McElroy.
He was preceeded in death by his parents and 3 sisters, Betty Dickey, Alice Goldstrohm, and Helen Clever.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, October, 23 at the Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church from 11am 1pm, with the funeral service immediately following with Pastor Dendler officiating and Pastor Pelton assisting. Burial will be in the Sanford Cemetery.
