Evelyn Haller

Evelyn Mae Haller, 96, a lifelong resident of Akeley, PA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at the Rouse Home in Youngsville, PA. Evelyn was born February 23, 1921, in Akeley, PA, the daughter of the late Victor and Vidella Rebecca (Wiggins) Lundmark.

Evelyn was a graduate of Russell High School. She had been employed by Miller’s Dress Shop, and had worked in the cafeteria at Eisenhower High School. She was a lifetime member of the Akeley United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. Evelyn was a member of the Mt. Sinai Mecca, Eastern Star, and a Past Matron.

Evelyn was a member of the Warren Quilters Guild, and won many ribbons for her quilts at the Fair, here and in Florida. She spent many winters in Florida. She loved her church, her family, her friends, and especially her grandchildren, whom will miss her greatly.

She is survived by three children, John Haller, and wife, Judy, of Jamestown, NY, Sandra Origer, and husband, Andre, of Madison, FL, and Barbara Putnam, and husband, John, of Sugar Grove, PA; two sisters, Elsie Barrett, of Russell, PA, and Bernice Sears, of Indiana, PA; eleven grandchildren, Amy Flaisman, Jen Rarey, Scott Putnam, Johnna Keel, Jeanine Benson, Justin Harriman, Erin Martin, Allie Milburn, Dave Solberg, Alex Moore and Carly Moore; twenty three great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death on November 19, 2004, by her husband, Leland L. Haller; and two sisters, Beverly Hunt, and Anna Lundmark.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. East, Warren, PA, 16365, on Thursday, August 31, from 4 to 7 pm., and on Friday, September 1, at the Akeley United Methodist Church, for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held at 11 am, with Rev. Jerome Kennedy, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hale Cemetery, Akeley.
