Louis Fratrich

Louis Robert Fratrich, 48, of Warren, and formerly of Uniontown, PA, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, May 15, 2017, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital of Pittsburgh, PA. Lou was born October 8, 1968, in Uniontown, PA. He is the son of Louis M. Fratrich, of Uniontown, PA, and the late Peggy (Malik) Fratrich.

Lou began his teaching career at Greensburg Central Catholic High School. For the past 9 years, Lou was at the Tidioute Community Charter School, where he served as the History, Health and P.E. teacher. His family, friends and students will always remember his loyalty and commitment to the school. He was instrumental in the assembly of the soccer and archery programs.

In addition to his father, Lou is survived by his wife, Julie A. (Bauer) Fratrich; his children, Justin and Corinn, who live at home; his inlaws, John and Jane Bauer, of Pittsburgh, PA; and his sister, Joann Fratrich, of Uniontown, PA.

Lou was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.

Friends will be received at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, PA, on Friday, May 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m., Hospice of Warren County will have a grief counselor available during evening visiting hours for students and friends.

Friends will also be received there on Saturday, May 20, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time a funeral service will be held there with Fr. Jim Gutting, Holy Redeemer R.C., officiating.
