Mabel Waters
Mabel “Arlene” Waters,
85, of Garland, PA passed
awaySaturday morning,
February 25, 2017, at her
home, surrounded by her
family.
She was born September
26, 1931, a daughter to the
late Frances Moore and Ma-
bel Dean Harrison. Arlene
worked at Corry Jamestown
for many years and was also
a member of the Garland
Volunteer Auxiliary. She en-
joyed water skiing, camping,
dirt racing and deer hunting;
her biggest joy was her-
grandkids. Spending time
with her family gave her
great happiness.
Arlene is survived by 4
children, Sandra (Lee) Vin-
ton of Bear Lake, PA, Edgar
F. Waters of Garland, PA,
Kay (John) Matkovich of
Erie, PA and Elizabeth (Tho-
mas) LaBarbera of Garland,
PA; a sister, Nancy (Don)
Seymure of Bear Lake, PA;
a brother-in-law, Merle
Howell of Youngsville, PA;
her grandchildren, Timothy,
Edgar, Joey, John, Tommy,
Kaylea, Collean and Amber;
17 great-grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews
and 2 special friends, Butch-
Southwell and Ron Davies.
In addition to her parents,
she was preceded in death by
her husband, Edgar A. Wa-
ters; 4 sisters, Clara Orr,
Dorothy Howell, Gladys
Hodakand Betty Rankin; a
brother, George Thomas; a
sister-in-law, Barbara Robin-
son and 3 brother-in-law’s,
Pete Orr, Vic Hodak and
Gerald Robinson.

16371 on Tuesday, Febru-
ary 28, from 4 -7 p.m. and
also on Wednesday, March
1, from 10 -11 a.m., at
which time a funeral service
will be held there with the
Rev. Brian Eiss, pastor of St.
Paul’s Lutheran Church in
Corry, officiating. Burial
will take place in the New
Lebanon Cemetery in Sandy
Lake, PA.
